Who can try out for the Legends?
We're a 10U select team, so we're looking for players roughly ages 8–10. What matters most is that your player is hardworking, coachable, and ready to compete.
How do tryouts work?
We run private tryout sessions by appointment — no cattle-call. Head to our Tryouts page to request a session, and a coach will reach out to schedule it.
What does it cost to play?
Our whole philosophy is select baseball without the big fees. Fees go straight to the team — uniforms, tournament entries, and field time — and we keep them well below what most select programs charge. Reach out and we'll walk you through this season's specifics.
What's the time commitment?
Like most select teams, expect weekday practices plus weekend games and tournaments during the season. We'll share the full schedule so your family can plan ahead.
What should my player bring to a tryout?
Please wear appropriate athletic attire and bring a bat, glove, helmet, cleats, and water.
Do you travel for games?
We play local and regional tournaments around the Central Texas area. Most events are within a reasonable drive of Hutto.
What if the roster is already full?
Even when our roster is set, we keep a pickup / sub list for tournaments and fill-ins. Try out to get on it — check the Tryouts page for our current status.
My child is newer to select ball — is that okay?
Absolutely. We develop players. Coachability and effort matter more than where a kid is starting from — bring the work ethic and we'll help with the rest.
Where do you practice and play?
We're based in Hutto, TX and practice and play locally, including around Hutto Memorial Park. We'll share exact locations when we schedule your tryout.
How can I support the team if my child doesn't play?
